Honda’s Children’s Day ad shows how childhood dreams grow into reality:
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A rockstar? A pro athlete… maybe even an astronaut?
Or did you want to be something more practical, like a doctor, engineer, lawyer, or teacher?
We all know kids dream big.
And on Children’s Day, Honda tapped right into that feeling.
In their ad, the top half shows a grown motorcyclist and flipped underneath features a child pedaling a bicycle.
The company’s slogan ties it together with: The Power of Dreams.
This ad works by bridging childhood imagination with adult reality, showing that Honda’s products embody aspiration and possibility.
Kids can be anything – and Honda positions itself as the brand that helps make those dreams real.
But there’s also a deeper nod here.
Most people know Honda today for their CR-Vs, Civics, and HR-Vs.
But Honda didn’t start as a car company at all.
Their very first product in 1947 was an engine for a … bike (which you can read about here 🚲).
Just like a child outgrowing their first bike, Honda expanded beyond bicycles – into cars, motorcycles, lawn mowers, and even boat motors.
The message is clear: dreams grow, and so does Honda.

Honda is reminding kids that there’s no limit to their dreams.
But this next ad actually creates a limit.
